(Jan. 7, 2009) -- The motorhome is a 1980 Eldorado and is likely bearing Washington plates 551NUQ. The motorhome is 19 feet long and has a full-size door in the rear (an unusual feature). The vehicle may have been placed in a storage unit or parked in an RV park.

(Jan. 2, 2009) -- The motorhome’s tenant had left earlier Wednesday morning. Lohse did not know the cause of the fire, but said nothing appeared suspicious. Casner said he thought the vehicle’s heater might have been left on and contributed to the fire.

(Dec. 31, 2008) -- "We'll open with 60 sites, half of them pull-through and half back-in," Hash said. "We have a second phase drawn up that would bring us to 125 RV sites, plus we're getting ready to start working on some nature trails, fishing piers by the creeks and a park. We have 160 acres, including the hillside above the golf course, so we have the land."

(Dec. 29, 2008) -- The cleanup of a flooded RV park east of Bonita Springs has stalled as the homeowners attempt to collect federal aid for their trailers. But Lee County code enforcers — who issued a mandate to remove dilapidated trailers from Manna Christian RV Park in September and have since granted at least two 30-day extensions — will eventually impose the deadline.

(Dec. 24, 2008) -- It’s been a 12 days of the Christmas season that residents of the Destination Apollo RV Resort will not soon forget. Power was restored to the RV park Tuesday, a dozen days since it was cutoff for lack of payment by the park’s owner.

(Dec. 23, 2008) -- The Montgomery County Parks Department is making 25 campsites available for just $31 a night, with a three-night minimum, at Little Bennett Campground. However, no bathhouses are available and tent sites will not be open.

(Dec. 23, 2008) -- It's hard for residents at Destination Apollo RV Resort to get into the Christmas spirit, especially since electricity to the park was cut off about two weeks ago. The electric company refused to turn the power back on until the RV park’s owner came up with more than $50,000 in past due payments.

(Dec. 19, 2008) -- The ordinance will allow RVs to be parked in the southern portion of Enchanted Village mobile home park for use by refinery construction workers during the next two years. The park's owner or manager must give the city a weekly description of each vehicle parked on the site and its license plate and the city will conduct periodic inspections of the utility hook-ups.

(Dec. 17, 2008) -- The approximately 40 residents of the 17-space park have been without water since Monday morning Dec. 15, when the city of Tehachapi turned off service to all units. Assistant City Manager Chris Kirk said the owner was “months behind” in paying for the park’s water.

(Dec. 16, 2008) -- Kendrick Mayor Dale Lisher says it simply might not make sense to put any money into a building that is so far gone. He'd like to see the building replaced with a new RV park. The Kendrick City Council will consider the depot's fate at their Dec. 22 meeting.

(Dec. 16, 2008) -- A letter from the RV park owner to the park’s 64 residents blamed the power outage on complications from Hurricane Ike. The power company, though, said the Austin-based resort owner simply hasn’t paid his bill.
