MIDDLEBURY, Ind. -- Kelly L. Rose, chairman of the board of EverGreen Recreational Vehicles, LLC, announced the introduction of a "green team" to launch a new line of Ever-Lite fully composite, lightweight travel trailers and fifth wheels.
The RVs will be manufactured from their facilities in Elkhart County, Ind. Ever-Lite travel trailers and fifth wheels will be build of a wood-free, all-composite sidewall, floor and roof construction process utilizing the company's ComposiTek -- a lightweight, green material that is completely free of formaldehyde and other volatile organic compounds.
Rose, an automotive and RV industry veteran who has owned and launched a succession of successful private and public brands for manufacturing and tier-one supplier firms, including ASA Electronics, Starcraft Automotive Group, Tecstar and StarQuest, has assembled a professional management team with more than 100 years of combined industry experience.
Long-time business and management associate Michael Schoeffler is the chief executive officer. Douglas Lantz serves as president and chief operating officer. Steven Crawford will oversee production for the company as vice president of manufacturing. Kevin Slater is the vice president of sales and Kenneth Mahaffa, one of the RV industry's most experienced experts in lamination and composite materials, is EverGreen's vice president of materials research and development.
Lantz, Crawford, Slater and Mahaffa have been working on the technologies for developing the RV Industry's first all-composite, environmentally-friendly travel trailers for more than three years. Representatives from EverGreen will be seeking new dealers this week at the National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky.
