NAPPANEE, Ind. – Despite the downturn in the RV Industry, Newmar is approaching the upcoming National RV Show in Louisville just as it has in every year past -- with confidence. Attendees walking through Newmar’s display in the South Wing will find a display featuring some of the best quality-built products the industry has to offer and a sales and management team with positive attitudes, the company said in a press release.
“Our executive management team and sales staff are optimistically poised and ready to navigate Newmar through this challenging time in our industry,” said John Sammut, Newmar vice president of sales and marketing. “In spite of current market conditions, Newmar is continuing its efforts in planning the product its dealers and customers desire for the 2010 model year and beyond.”
Two of the key products in the display will be 43-foot tag axle diesel pusher motorhomes in the Ventana and Dutch Star product lines. The 4333 Ventana is built on a Spartan Chassis and has a Cummins ISC 360 HP engine. Standard features include polished porcelain tile, glazed cabinet doors, king-sized bed and hydronic heat. With a base MSRP of $247,390, dealers will be hard-pressed to find a Ventana competitor elsewhere.
The 4386 Dutch Star is the newest floorplan offered in its product line. Built on a Spartan Chassis with a 400 HP Cummins ISL engine, it features a quad slide floorplan with a king-size bed and side-aisle layout with a contoured wall in the hallway. Features include a 40-inch LCD TV mid-coach, two recliners across from a 74-inch sofa, and a spacious galley with a pullout counter. The base MSRP is $270,008.
Another standout in this year’s Newmar display will be the Canyon Star 3920, the ultimate Class A Gas Toy Hauler floorplan for the adventurous RVer. The 2009 Canyon Star 3920 is the perfect fit for the person who loves to travel in style and take their toys on the road. This new floorplan gives owners comfortable, roomy living space with a garage to store large off-road vehicles.
“The 3920 is the first Class A Gas toy hauler on the market to offer an actual full-size bedroom,” said Sammut. “Although bunk beds with an electric bed lift are an option in the garage of this new Canyon Star model, this unique layout allows the owner to sleep comfortably somewhere in the motorhome other than in a loft above the garage or on the sofa in the living room.”
This dedicated bedroom space comes standard with a queen-size bed, wardrobes, a chest of drawers, and a 19-inch LCD TV. The 3920 features a rear-ramp design and is built on the Ford® F-53 26,000 chassis powered by a 362 horsepower Triton V-10 engine. With over 6,000 pounds of net carrying capacity, Canyon Star owners are able to take their small vehicles with them and enjoy the RV lifestyle.
Garage features include diamond tread rubber flooring, tie-down tracks, and a stainless steel overhead cabinet with a recessed flip-down countertop. Wheel chocks, a screen for the rear cargo door, and a second air conditioner with heat strips are optional.
The 2009 3920 starts at a retail base price of $138,676.
