TOPEKA, Ind. -- CrossRoads RV will introduce its new SlingShot travel trailer at the 46th annual National RV Show Dec. 2 to 4 in Louisville, Ky.
The newest addition to the CrossRoads product line is designed for easy towing by today’s small SUV’s and crossover vehicles. The aluminum framed units are a full 8 feet wide, and range from 19 feet to 30 feet in length. The “showstopper” is the 30 foot, full length slide, bunkhouse model; weighing just 3600 pounds, complete with options.
Larry Weaver, a 28 year industry veteran and national sales manager for the SlingShot comments, “I’ve sold other lightweight trailers, but this is by far the most advanced product I’ve ever seen.”
This advancement in technology comes through strategic partnerships with several key suppliers. Larry adds, “We really challenged industry standards and the supplier community responded unbelievably. Most of the weight savings came through automotive and aerospace components and techniques never before used in this industry.”
“The days of eliminating features and just making units smaller to achieve weight reductions are over. This is where THOR’s financial strength and willingness to invest in new technologies sets CrossRoads apart and has allowed us to create a full-sized, well appointed and well-built unit capable of being towed by today’s smaller, more fuel efficient family vehicles”, says CrossRoads President Mark Lucas.
The new SlingShot will be exhibited in CrossRoads RVs’ booth #3000 at the National RVIA Show in the North Wing in the Kentucky Expo Center.
Headquartered in Topeka, Indiana, CrossRoads RV manufactures a wide variety of travel trailers, fifth wheels, and park models at five plant locations. Its products are distributed by dealers throughout the United States, Canada, France, Japan, and Australia. CrossRoads RV is a division of Thor Industries.
