BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- The Junior League of Bakersfield will host Wine Fest on Saturday evening in the Stier's RV Center showroom.
The dealership will roll its inventory out the door to make room for chow from local and chain restaurants, such as Cafe Med, P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Wool Growers Restaurant, Tilted Kilt and Tahoe Joe's Famous Steakhouse. Starry Night will feature a sports lounge with two big-screen TVs blazing college football, silent and live auctions and a cigar bar, said event co-chairwoman Susan Swanson.
California wineries offering tastings include Orchid Hill, Meridian Vineyards, Arroyo Robles Winery and Sextant Wines.
The event will benefit the Junior League's support of programs for women and children in Kern County, such as the Bakersfield Homeless Center and Alliance Against Family Violence and Sexual Assault.
