SANTA CLAUS, Ind. -- The National Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds (ARVC) awarded Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort in Santa Claus the 2008-2009 National RV Park of the Year in the large park category (251-499 sites).
The awards of excellence program was part of the ARVC national convention held Nov. 15 in Nashville.
This is actually the second time Lake Rudolph has received this honor. The park also was recognized as 2004-2005 National RV Park of the Year. The RV Park of the Year Award is the highest possible honor in the campground and RV park industry and is based on national directory ratings, operations excellence, community service, association involvement, park promotions, management skills, education, and employee training techniques.
“We are honored to receive this award from our peers in the campground and RV park industry,” said Philip Koch, owner and president of Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort. “My father, Bill Koch, opened Lake Rudolph in 1958. Receiving this award during our 50th anniversary year makes it even more meaningful. I want to thank our tremendous staff for their outstanding efforts, and I especially thank our guests for helping us create the great family atmosphere we have at Lake Rudolph.”
