FREMONT, Ohio -- Harold P. Young, 94, a lifelong resident of Fremont, died Nov. 3 at Flower Hospital in Sylvania.
He was born on August 8, 1914 in Fremont to Homer T. and Bertha (Knox) Young. Harold was a 1932 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. He was the owner and founder of Young's Mobile Homes & Travel Center in Fremont. He started the mobile home business in 1947 and built his first community, Colonial Acres, in 1953. Harold was active in the business up to his death. Harold was an avid Ross Sports fan and Ross Boosters supporter. He was a member of the Ohio Manufactured Housing Association, the RV Dealers Association and the Great Lakes Dealer Association.
On August 8, 1940 he married Luella Bork and she preceded him in death on July 4, 2004.
Visitation takes place Nov. 6 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Nov. 7 from 1 to 8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fremont. Services take place Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of the Fremont Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1509 Cedar St in Fremont.
Memorials can be made to the Fremont Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses or to Don Paul Stadium at Harmon Field/Fremont Area Athletic Foundation c/o Ross High School.
