SHARONVILLE, Ohio – Two men indicted on arson charges stemming from a fire at Camperland RV Center surrendered Friday – and one is the owner of the business.
Owner Gary McCool, 61, of West Chester, and employee John Liber, 56, of Green Township, turned themselves in at the Hamilton County Justice Center around 11 a.m. Friday, two days after Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters signed indictments against the two men, charging them with two counts of aggravated arson and one count of arson.
Deters alleges that the two men set a fire on March 28 that damaged Camperland and a nearby car detailing shop, putting lives in danger – hence the two aggravated arson charges. The third charge, arson, is for allegedly setting the fire to destroy and defraud the business.
The men are not in jail. They were released on their own recognizance.
