(May 30, 2008) -- The rebates Coachmen is offering range from $250 on the very economically priced 2009 Spirit of America travel trailer up to $2,000 on a 2009 Sportscoach Class A diesel coach. And, the Coachmenomic rebates are multiplied on new 2007 and 2008 model year of select models in dealers' inventory. So for instance, the rebate would be $5,000 for a 2008 Sportscoach motorhome and $1,500 for a 2008 fifth wheel.

(May 30, 2008) -- The RVIA Board of Directors has unanimously voted to adopt the newly established California Air Resources Board (CARB) formaldehyde emission levels for wood products. These emission levels will become a nationwide RVIA membership requirement, with an effective date to be determined at the next Board of Directors meeting on June 12 at Committee Week.

(May 30, 2008) -- Personal income rose 0.2 percent, a touch faster than market expectations, although down from the 0.4 percent gain in March. The modest overall gain in personal consumption expenditures reflected a 0.4 percent increase in services spending and a 0.1 percent gain in non-durables spending.

(May 30, 2008) -- The ruling overturns decisions by the Indiana Board of Tax Review and Lake County Property Tax Assessment Board of Appeals. Those boards denied the exemption for the Cedar Lake Conference Association, which owns and operates the Cedar Lake Bible Conference Center RV Park and Campground.

(May 29, 2008) -- Tthe 41 million avoided trips during the last 12 months rippled outward across the entire travel community costing airlines more than $9 billion in revenue; hotels nearly $6 billion and restaurants more than $3 billion. In addition, federal, state and local governments lost more than $4 billion in tax revenue because of reduced spending by travelers.

The upward revision to overall GDP was also facilitated by growth in business investment in structures being revised up to 1.1 percent from an initially estimated decline of 6.2 percent.

(May 29, 2008) -- The proposed Birds of Paradise campground would include 75 campsites: 55 sites for RVs and 20 for pre-fabricated “tent-cabins.” Zoning committee members thought that the project needed several changes, including adding more trees, fewer parking spots, breaking up a lengthy stretch of RV sites spanning four football fields, and incorporating a “stronger architectural theme.”
