(Nov. 26, 2008) -- Compass Chemicals, which makes private label cleaners and sanitation products, announced a new program designed to drive repeat traffic to RV dealerships. The company began offering RV dealers the opportunity to add a coupon to the label of any of its product purchased by the dealership for resale to consumers. (Dec. 2, 2008) -- Thetford recently was granted Design for the Environment status as part of a partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to create more environmentally-friendly products. Thetford has five products in its RV Care line that have received DfE certification including: Hard Water Spot Remover; RV Wash & Wax; Mildew Stain Remover; Ultra Foam Black Streak & Bug Remover, and Ultra Foam Awning Cleaner.

(Nov. 18, 2008) -- The Greenville-based company has expanded its X One large single tire, which replaces dual tires on commercial trucks, to the RV market. The tire attracted truckers several years ago by saving fuel and allowing heavier loads. It attracts the owners of the RV behemoths with fuel efficiency, improve turning radius and ease of maintenance. The RV X One works in the same fashion as the commercial truck tire -- it replaces dual tires with one.

(Nov. 3, 2008) -- Because the EF6300iSDE uses Yamaha’s Pulse Width Modulation inverter system, the electricity produced is as clean or cleaner than residential power. (Oct. 22, 2008) -- The unique system monitors up to 36 tires for RV, trailer and tow-vehicle applications. The driver is also alerted through multiple alarms (audible, location, pressure, and warning symbol) so that low-tire-pressure problems can be addressed and costly breakdowns and repairs are eliminated. Additionally, a patent-pending “sleep” mode ensures that the RV stays protected at all times. With this unique feature, tire-pressure is monitored, but potential warnings are withheld until the driver awakes in the morning.

When the plate is activated, the dual-colored LED located on the faceplate lights up blue, and when the battery is low it lights up red.
