RESTON, Va. -- RVIA’s Government Affairs Department has scheduled a free workshop on Sept. 30 in South Bend, Ind., to review California Air Resource Board (CARB) regulations relating to the formaldehyde emissions from wood products.
Wood product suppliers as well as RV industry personnel in the areas of purchasing, standards, compliance engineering, and design, as well as industry legal counsel representatives, are encouraged to attend.
The workshop’s main speaker will be Lynn Baker, CARB’s Air Pollution Specialist. Baker has been with CARB for 22 years. Most of his work has involved assisting two other departments within the California EPA to assess air quality concerns, impacts of agricultural pesticides, and hazardous waste sites. Along with his colleague Darrell Hawkins of the CARB Enforcement Division, Baker will answer questions following his presentation.
The workshop will be held Tuesday, Sept. 30 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Century Center, 120 South St. Joseph St., South Bend, Ind.
